Billy "Bill" Wayne Owens

Billy “Bill” Wayne Owens, passed away at his home on October 2, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, October 7, 2021, at the Chapel of James & Lipford Funeral Home with Richard West officiating. Burial will follow in Ramah Primitive Baptist Church cemetery near Cottonwood, Alabama with James & Lipford Funeral Home directing. Family will receive friends at the funeral home 1 p.m. until time of service. Bill was born on May 6, 1952. He graduated from Malone High School in 1970 and went on to graduate from Chipola College with his AA. In 1972, he married the love of his life Pam. He was employed with BC Moore from 1973 to 1979 when he and his family then moved back home to what is known as the Forks of the Creek. He worked at Michelin from 1979 until 1996. He then enjoyed farming with his dad. Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting, being with his family and telling stories. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Foman and Joyce Owens. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Pamela Owens, three daughters Christie (Chad) Watts, Terri (Brian) Golden, Kayla (Rob) Stevenson; six grandchildren Elizabeth (Riko) Jones, Austin Creamer (fiancé Sami Davis), Ivy (Logan) Smith, Isaac Stevenson, Ashley Stevenson, Alexandra Stevenson; four great grandsons Traison Jones, Mavrik Jones, Elias Smith, Dwayne Creamer(due in November), one great granddaughter Delilah Davis; three sisters-in-law Patricia (Richard) West, Phyllis Urinosky, Penny (Mike) Tyler and several (or as he would say “bunch of”) cousins, nieces and nephews.
