Dorton Bush Haddan, age 89 of Slocomb, AL, Fadette Community, passed away suddenly, Christmas Day, surrounded by his family celebrating Christmas. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011 at New Providence Baptist Church with Rev. Don Haddan and Billy Haddan officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mr. Haddan was born Oct. 14, 1922 to the late Jake and Jewell Franklin Haddan. He retired following 30 years from the City of Port St. Joe as Superintendent of Public Works, moving back to the family farm in the Fadette Community. Mr. Haddan was a long time member of New Providence Baptist Church. Beloved father and grandfather, he will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Preceded in death by his wife Mildred Carnley Haddan, daughter Jewell Dean Davis, grandson Keith Davis, son-in-law David Davis, brothers Sam, Ralph, Russell, Jim and Roy, sister Pearl Haddan Hall. Survived by a son Donald Haddan(Patsy), granddaughter Patrice Bowen, Pensacola Beach, FL; grandsons Jeff Haddan(Crystal), Milton, FL, Davy Davis, Marianna, FL, Dennis Davis(Dixie), Kevin Davis(Sherry), Steve Davis(Chris) all of Fountain, FL; great grandchildren Latrissa Sims(Jason), Lakaylah Bowen, Jacob Haddan, Jason Davis, Lisa Davis, Daniel Davis; great great grandchildren Harleigh, Haddan, Harrison Sims, Gavin Davis, Gwen Davis; a host of nieces and nephews whom are special.
