James Wesley Brown, 69, of Dothan, AL, entered his Heavenly home Monday, Feb. 9, 2015. James was born in Campbellton, FL, on Dec. 7, 1945, to the late Elbert and Mary Nell Redmon Brown. A 1964 graduate of Campbellton High School, James served in the U.S. Air Force and retired as warehouse manager from Ansell, Inc. (Akwell Ind.), following 43 years of service. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Dothan. His Celebration of Life will be 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, at Southside Baptist Church with the Revs. Stacy Stafford, Rick Glenn, and Billy Rich officiating. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. in the Damascus Baptist Church cemetery in Graceville, FL, with James & Lipford Funeral Home of Graceville directing. The family will receive friends at Southside Baptist Church 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Wiregrass Area Food Bank's Brown Bag Program, 382 Twitchell Road, Dothan, AL 36303. James was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Roy Brown, and sister, Brenda Kirkland. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Shirley Garner Brown; two daughters, Julie Brown Gonzalez (Juan), Taylor, AL, Kylie Brown, Malvern, AL; sister, Carolyn McElwain, Slocomb, AL; four grandchildren, Joy Kelley (Ethan), Jasmine Gonzalez, Brandon Jenkins, and Tyler Enfinger; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
