John Monroe "Roe" Culbreth, 85 of Graceville, Poplar Springs Community, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2010. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, November 12, 2010 at Bethel Baptist Church with Revs. Kent Lampp, Chester Padgett, Tom Whiddon officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery with U.S. Marine Corp honors, James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Flowers accepted or those wishing can make memorials to P.S.H.S. Roe Culbreth Fund 3726 Atomic Dr. Graceville, FL 32440 Mr. Culbreth affectionately known as "Roe" was born in Houston County, Alabama to the late Clarence and Marzetta Culbreth. Roe was a graduate of Rehobeth High School and a U.S. Marine Veteran of World War II. He retired from Gold Kist Peanut and farmed for many years. Roe was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Preceded in death by one son Jimmy Culbreth. He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty years, Carolyn Culbreth of Graceville, son & daughter-in-law Steve and Vickey Culbreth of Dothan, daughter-in-law Patsy Culbreth of Graceville; four grandsons Allen, Dennis, Larry, and Chris Culbreth; granddaughter Ginger Williams; nine great grandchildren, two great great grandsons; sister Lenora McCall of Cottonwood, AL; special friends Brenda Buryn, Wanda Williams, Ashley Wiggins, life long best friend Betty Joiner.
