Mark Anthony Deese, 56 of Graceville, FL passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019 at his residence of a sudden illness. A Celebration of His Life will be 10 a.m., Friday, June 28, 2019 at Damascus Baptist Church with Rev. Addis Habbard officiating. Burial will follow in Marvin Chapel Cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing. Family will receive friends at Damascus Baptist Church, Thursday, June 27, 2019, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers family request memorials be made in his memory to G.H.S. Softball/Baseball Program 5539 Brown Street Graceville, FL 32440 Mark was born in Pensacola, Florida on November 9, 1962. A 1980 graduate of Graceville High School, Mark served in the U.S. Coast Guard until October 1986. He was not only an electrician and plumber, Mark had worked as a Gunsmith for the past several years and was owner of The Gun Shack. He was also a Correctional Officer with the Florida Department of Corrections where he recently retired. Above all, Mark was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather and friend. An avid hunter and fisherman, he loved spending time, telling stories and jokes, sharing in precious time with his children and grandchildren. Mark was a long time member of the Campbellton First United Methodist Church. Over the years he was very involved with the softball/baseball program at Graceville High School. Affectionately nick-named "Bullet", Mark will truly be missed by all... Preceded in death by his mother Joan Reeves Deese, one granddaughter Dyxie Walters. Survived by his wife Denise Deese, father Warren Elton (Mary) Deese, four children Dustin Ray Walters, Tonya Michelle (Jarad) Odom, Daniel Jay "DJ" (Jessie) Walters, Harlie Danielle (James) Reid; one sister Malinda (Gary) Ragan; one brother Jonathan (Barbara) Webb, twelve grandchildren; one aunt Dorothy "Aunt Jackie" (James Earl) Davis, one uncle Phillip (Deb) Galloway; one nephew Joseph Ragan.
