Myrtice Watford

November 25, 1916 - October 9, 2013

Myrtice Elizabeth Bradley Watford, age 96, of Graceville, Florida died on Wednesday, October 9, 2013. Visitation services will be at 1 pm (CST), with Funeral services beginning at 2 pm, Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Graceville, Florida with James & Lipford Funeral Home directing. Drs. Jason Thrower and Jerry Windsor, and Rev. Tim Folds will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Marvin Chapel Cemetery at a later date with a private graveside service for immediate family only. She has been a long time member of the First United Methodist Church and has always been very active in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to either the First United Methodist Church, or the First Baptist Church of Graceville, Florida. She was born on November 25, 1916 in Jackson County, Florida. She graduated from Chattahoochee High School, then later met her husband (Radious) and was married on June 24, 1937. She lived all her married life in Graceville as a housewife and homemaker. She also worked part-time at Jitney Jungle Grocery during World War II, then later in the Gift Department at Tindel Watford Hardware. After her working career she also did volunteer work at the Campbellton-Graceville Hospital. She was a very loving wife and mother and will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents George Bradley and Julia Burke Bradley; her husband Radious Dempsey Watford; three brothers, George Herbert Bradley, Joe Bradley, Marion Bradley, and two sisters Sallie Ramsey, and Louise Crawford. She is survived by one son Angus Bradley "Brad" Watford of Graceville, Florida; one brother Dr. Cecil Bradley of Tallahassee, Florida, a very special Brother-in-law & Sister-In Law Doyle and Helen Watford of Graceville, Florida, as well as, several nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
